My Life

Mio Li

Born into the lineage of the Manchu Qing Dynasty, I carry with me a heritage shaped by culture, refinement, and a deep appreciation for beauty. My childhood unfolded in the heart of Beijing, in a traditional siheyuan near the Forbidden City, where history, artistry, and ritual were part of everyday life. Surrounded by this atmosphere from an early age, I developed a perspective shaped by both Eastern heritage and a fascination with global visual culture.

These influences continued to evolve through my studies in Visual Arts at Monash University in Melbourne and through my work across Los Angeles and London. Exposure to fashion, art, interiors, and luxury houses from Italy, France, and Germany sharpened my understanding of craftsmanship, proportion, materiality, and timeless design. This journey shaped not only my aesthetic sensibility, but also the way I think about how spaces should feel-meaningful, enduring, and emotionally resonant.

Today, I call Sydney home, while my work remains deeply international in spirit. I am the Founder and CEO of Miologic Pty Ltd and the founder of MIOLISM, a design-led platform presented through MIOLISM.COM that brings together architectural materials, interiors, and curated objects through a global and culturally conscious lens. My work is guided by a commitment to innovation, craftsmanship, environmental responsibility, and timeless design.

Through MIOLISM, I seek to create environments that are visually compelling, deeply considered, and built to last. Supported by our own factories and production network, MIOLISM works across architectural materials, premium tiles, glass, stone, furniture, and home furnishings, allowing us to serve both design-driven residential projects and larger commercial applications with a strong point of view.

Our broader portfolio includes contributions to major projects such as Beijing Daxing International Airport, the Shenzhen high-speed rail system, the Brunei cross-sea bridge, and the Pakistan nuclear power plant, alongside commercial work connected to internationally recognized names such as Hermès, Porsche, and Marriott. This experience continues to inform my belief that design should not only be beautiful, but also thoughtful, human-centered, and enduring.

At the heart of everything I do is a desire to bring harmony, joy, and cultural connection into the spaces people inhabit. Whether through a material surface, a piece of furniture, or a curated object, I believe design has the power to shape emotion, elevate daily life, and create a deeper sense of belonging.
